Marc Márquez wins the National Prize to the best under-18 sportsman

The Sports Council awarded the Repsol rider the National Prize Princesa de Asturias S.A.R Doña Letizia for his progression during 2010

Marc Márquez, current 125cc World Champion was awarded today the National prize Princesa de Asturias S.A.R Doña Letizia. In today’s meeting of the Sports Council, the jury granted the National Prize to the Under-18 sportsman with the most prominent sporting progress during 2010.

The Repsol rider, who during the 2010 season amazed the Motorsport world by snatching most precocity records from the great champions of the class, brilliantly secured the 125cc Motorcycling World Championship Title after winning ten rounds in the same season. Marquez reached global stardom at just 17, a feat that has won him now the acknowledgment of the Sports Council.

The award will be presented by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain next February 28th at the Royal Palace of El Pardo.
