The rider from Toledo will compete again this weekend in MotorLand Aragon, where a little more than a year ago she made history when she became the first female winner of a FIM CEV Repsol race.

Last May 26th was the anniversary of Maria Herrera’s first victory at the FIM CEV Repsol, which she achieved during the round held at MotorLand Aragon. This weekend, the rider will return to the track that saw her become the first woman to secure a win in this championship. A success that also meant her blossoming as a rider –as it was a turning point‒ as acknowledged in this video by herself and two of her most trusted men: Jose Carrion, her Team Manager and David Cabau, Technical Director.

The FIM CEV Repsol will resume the action this weekend in its third round of the season, with its three classes competing. It leaves behind the round held together with the France GP, where only the Moto3 riders competed. This time, both Moto2 and Superbike will have two races on Sunday, while the smallest class will have only one.
