Nicky deserves to be on top of the podium

On the Friday Nicky was thinking mainly about the race but his times did not reflect his improvement, and on the Saturday, with the riders bunched up really tightly because of the small differences, he had to make do with the second row of the grid and he still did not know the best combination of motorbike/tyres for the race, since the circuit was different every time that Nicky went out on his Repsol Honda RC212V.

To win races “we have to put all together” says Nicky, and that is what we are missing. We have to adjust the settings on the bike with the right tyres, then a good start and a little luck so that, as I am always telling you, Nicky can win races. Because in Sepang Nicky did not start well and lost 12 valuable seconds, he even went off the track trying to overtake Elías, but he did not give up and he fought back. He had to make do with ninth position. He does not belong there and once again we had to be content with a 2’02″349 on lap 17 of the race and a 2’02″529 on his final lap.

In Valencia Nicky will get another chance and I hope that this time we can do our best so that he can also do his best, as he says, put it all together and so finish where he deserves, which I think is on the top of the podium.
