Márquez and Pedrosa travel to Australia for the second flyaway round, visiting a circuit where they felt good in pre-season testing in February.
Marc Márquez, who at Motegi became the youngest rider to reach the milestone of 100 podiums, arrives at Phillip Island -one of his favourite circuits- as leader of the World Championship. He holds an advantage of 11 points over Andrea Dovizioso.
Dani Pedrosa, fourth in the overall standings and 74 points off his Repsol Honda teammate, has been on the podium 8 times in the 15 Grands Prix held to date this season.
Both Marquez and Pedrosa have been crowned World Champions at Phillip Island: Márquez in 2012 in Moto2, and Pedrosa in 2004 and 2005, in 250cc.
