Repsol has your sports project in Argentina with Sebastian Porto

During an event held in Buenos Aires, presided by Repsol YPF CEO Alfonso Cortina, the oil company presented its sporting project for the 250cc World Championship together with the Argentinean Sebastián Porto, Aprilia factory rider and member of the Repsol Aspar Team.

 

“We were really proud to see Sebastián Portos performance in the South African GP, where he showed a real competitive spirit making his way up from the twenty-second place to the third step of the podium “, Mr. Cortina highlighted.

A stage was built up in front of more than 400 guests, including soccer players, artists, politicians, sports and economy journalists. Porto was not only joined by Alfonso Cortina, but also by senator and former Formula 1 driver Carlos Reutemann and Repsol COO Ramón Blanco. With joy and excitement, Sebastián Porto, couldnt have enough telling about what he had gone through in Welkom, emphasising on the virtues of his Aprilia, prepared by the Aspar Team.

And last but not least, I want to thank the most important company in Argentina, the oil company Repsol YPF, for this renewal of their confidence in me through their new sponsorship “, Sebastián explained.

In his speech, Alfonso Cortina, did not only speak about Porto, but also about the companys career in the world of international competition, endorsed by world championship titles in all classes.

“Repsol has been sponsoring riders and teams of sport motorcycling for many years and has won an important number of championships. With the Argentinean rider Sebastián Porto, we hope to win another trophy, the 2004 World Championship in the 250cc class”.

Sebas took up the challenge, stating that rider, bike and team are ready to go for it.

“The results of the rider and the bike during the preseason tests and the race in Welkom are a proof of the path were following towards the 250cc crown.
