Marc Márquez and Joan Mir move on to Spielberg to compete in the Austrian Grand Prix, the tenth round of the year
The first half of the MotoGP season will conclude this coming weekend at the Spielberg Red Bull Ring circuit, where the Repsol Honda team riders will continue working to improve their recent results.
With three second places in the premier class in Austria, Marc Márquez arrives at a track where he will try to continue working on the setup of his Honda RC213V. He and the entire Repsol Honda Team are looking for a base setup to work on in order to improve.
Joan Mir also has experience on the Austrian GP podium, after earning two victories in Moto3 and a second place in MotoGP. The Repsol Honda Team rider will continue with a plan similar to that of his teammate, working on improving the Honda both in practice and in the race.
MARC MÁRQUEZ:
“I’ve used the time between races to keep working on my fitness. Every day is a bit better, so let’s see what is possible in Austria. The weather there can be a bit mixed, so we will need to work well consistently to make the most of the weekend. We know that it will be another weekend of working hard to try and improve and make a step for the future.”
JOAN MIR:
“We come to the Red Bull Ring looking to build off what we did in the previous race. Sunday didn’t go to plan, but overall with the weekend we were able to make progress and get back to being comfortable on the bike. This is the line we need to follow again and really try to maximise the time we have on track.”
