I know that many think that it is better not to show ones feelings further than strictly necessary, and beyond the private sphere of relationships. However, today I have to admit that, in spite of 12 years coexistence, Repsol YPF and Honda are more united, more hopeful, and are even more motivated than ever before this World of Motorcycle Championship 2006.
It would not be very sincere of me, if I did not mention that both parties have placed their best efforts and the most advanced resources with the objective that this year, the Repsol Honda team reaches a higher level of professionalism, competitiveness, and attractiveness. A level that we demand of those responsible for Honda and Repsol YPF, and that the thousands of fans and followers of MotoGP in the entire world deserve. We are in front of a young but, in no case an inexpert team. Nicky Hayden is in a magnificent moment and Dani Pedrosa is already demonstrating his competitiveness in his category.
The season that is now commencing, we will experience, with no doubt, very intense moments. For those who are keen on motorcycling, Repsol Honda is a sure reference for seriousness, perseverance, and prestige. In 2006, our goal is to reach the dream of being MotoGP World Champions again. Moreover, to achieve this legitimate dream we are concentrating all our energy.
