The Repsol rider Toni Bou has won his fourth consecutive Indoor Trial World Championship in the fifth and final round of the world championship of the speciality, held tonight in Palma de Mallorca. After winning in Sheffield (the United Kingdom), Barcelona and Madrid (Spain), and taking second place in Marseille (France), today, Bou clinches the title today with another win.
Yet another year, the rider from Piera (Barcelona) has competed at an exceptional level, despite the uncertainty surrounding the start of the championship due to changes in the regulations. The Repsol rider has confirmed that he is the specialist in the category and goes down in trial history.
Bou joined the Repsol Montesa Honda in 2007 and since then, he has progressed at lightening speed, as in that very year he took the indoor and outdoor titles. In just over three seasons, the Repsol rider has become the world reference in the discipline, dominating both the Indoor World Championship and the outdoor, where he has also won the last three editions and is favourite to take the title in 2010.

“I’m very happy with this win and about winning the title because we have been very nervous today. We had to get through to the final no matter what and as we’ve seen throughout the championship, it has never been easy. We’ll see if the regulations in this respect change in the future because throughout the championship, from the first round under the new regulations, we’ve been very nervous about this situation. Winning is never routine and you can’t win without a lot of hard work, not only your work but the whole team’s work, so I’d like to thank them too”.
