Repsol riders present in the provisional front row of the three categories

Repsol riders were the great protagonists of the first timed practice sessions of the Grand Prix, scoring the first round of the World Motorcycling Championship 2002.

In the new MotoGP class, four drivers have alternated during the qualifying session at the top, the two riders from Team Repsol Honda MotoGP Valentino Rossi and Tohru Ukawa, together with the Japanese Daijiro Katoh and Italian Loris Capirossi, have staged a nice duel fighting for first place.
