The Repsol Honda Team rider ended second yesterday in the third round of the X-Trial World championship held in France and keeps the lead of the series.
Toni Bou finished yesterday on the second step of the podium after the third round of the 2015 X-Trial World Championship that was held in the French town of Pau, at the foot of the Pyrenees. The Repsol Honda Team rider completed the first five zones of the lap with no penalties in the qualifying, but was not able to keep his winning streak in the finale. A small mistake in the penultimate obstacle prevented him from taking another win as he received 7 points, three more than the final winner of the round, Adam Raga.
With this second place in the first visit of the X-Trial World Championship to Pau, the eight times World Champion keeps the lead of the overall standings with 55 points against the 47 of his closest rival, Adam Raga. The next meeting will be the Barcelona Indoor Trial, the fourth round of the Indoor World Championship, which will take place on Sunday, March 8th, at the Palau Sant Jordi, in Barcelona.

“When we checked the zones this morning I already saw that it was a very easy race. Any mistake would be impossible to recover and that’s what happened in the finale: few zones and very easy. I tried to complete the 4th zone with a zero, but maybe I was a bit too fast… it was close, but I couldn’t do it. I want to congratulate Adam Raga, who did a great performance and deserves his victory. I had won 28 consecutive indoor rounds and that’s what probably wasn’t natural: not making any mistake for so long and being always on top. Now I have to focus on the next race, where my aims will be the same: win the round and win the Championship. I feel comfortable and happy with the bike, so I’ll do my best in Barcelona”.
