South African GP. 2nd practice. Driver´s comments

Elías:’My whole body is sore from the crash, the thumb hurts a lot when braking and changing direction and that makes it difficult to concentrate’.
Moto GP. Valentino Rossi, 1.33.370 (2nd): Im feeling a lot better now thanks to Dr Costa and his team at the Clinica Mobile. Im not at 100% but certainly better than the last few days. Weve been working very hard for the best race set-up. Tomorrow will be difficult for sure but it will be difficult for everyone. I tried hard to improve my time but Sete was faster than me and takes the pole position. It is good like this with respect for Setes team-mate Kato.  Moto GP. Nicky Hayden, 1.33.838 (11th): Things felt really good this morning and I was really hoping to get into the 33s, which I did but so did a load of other guys. Man, thats the hardest Ive ever ridden for 11th on the grid! Everybody is so close its going to be a really tough race. I gotta figure out which tyres to use and pick a good set for the race. Ill also be trying to sweeten up my riding a little, especially in the final section which is so important for the whole lap time. 250. Fonsi Nieto, 1.36´770 sec, (4th): I’m happy, I’ve had a run of bad luck, but now, for this race, I’ve decided to take the chassis that helped me to become runner-up in the World Championship and it’s clear that it works well with me. I’ve been among the leading pack and I managed to get the provisional pole yesterday. There was a lot of traffic today and I didn’t manage to do the times I would have liked, but I got a quick rhythm and I think I’ll be able to fight for a place on the podium tomorrow. It would be a good result before Jerez. It will be a hard race tomorrow, under strong heat, so the tyres will be determining the result. We’ll have a lot of work in this respect. I’ll test again during the warm-up and then I’ll decide which tyres I’ll use.250. Sebastián Porto, 1.37´063 sec, (5th): It’s been quite good, it seems as if we have a problem with the engine, we just cannot make it work like yesterday and we’ve lost some speed. But we’re happy and I think that we can make a good job tomorrow. It’s going to be a difficult race but we’ll be able to be among the leading group. 250. Toni Elias, 1.37´231 sec, (6th): My whole body is sore from the crash, the thumb hurts a lot when braking and changing direction and that makes it difficult to concentrate. This injury has made me loose practice time, which the other riders have made good use of. You can see it in my times. Tomorrow I’ll be starting from the second row and I really hope my thumb will get better to stand the race. I’ll fight hard and do it the best I can.                         250. Héctor Faubel, 1.37´822 sec, (10th): Yesterday I finished tenth as well, we made a good job with the settings, especially with regard to the suspensions, which had been our biggest problem. This morning I thought that it would be more difficult to improve times. I decided to mount new tyres and everything went perfect. On the penultimate lap, where I set my fastest time, I was riding behind De Puniet and I almost touched Fonsi. Nevertheless, my time has been quite good and I’m happy. 250. Joan Olivé, 1.38´751 sec, (21st): We’ve made a good job with the bike so far, but I didn’t make good use of the practice this afternoon and didn’t improve my times. It’s been my fault, I don’t know what happened, I just had a bad day. I hope to make a good start tomorrow and get a result according to my possibilities.                       125. Pablo Nieto, 1.40´908 sec, (2nd): We’ve been working very hard throughout the weekend, you can see it in the results. The most important of all is that we’ve managed to get a good rhythm and I am confident that I’ll be able to keep it tomorrow during the race. My bike has worked perfectly well; you can really feel the team’s hard work of the weekend. With regard to the pole, yes, it slipped away in the last second but you know how things are in this class: you may be first and five minutes later five riders pass you. 125. Dani Pedrosa, 1.41´964 sec, (9th): We’ve had a lot of technical problems today. I started with my main bike but the engine began to fail on the straight so I went back to the garage and took the second bike. The problem is that I had similar problems with the second one so it’s been impossible to improve yesterday’s times. Too bad, because we’ve lost an important practice session and we haven’t been able to improve; but, anyway, we’ll try to solve all problems for tomorrow and make a good race. 125. Héctor Barberá, 1.42´580 sec, (13th):I’m not happy at all. I was hoping to make it better today. The bike worked well during the free practice but in the afternoon we had problems that we weren’t able to solve. So I had no chance to test everything we had planned. Hopefully things will work out better tomorrow.
