Spain GP. 2nd qualifying practice. Driver´s comments

Nieto: ‘It’s been a nice practice session and with an interesting fight’
Repsol driver´s comments about Spain GP 2nd qualifying practice.Valentino Rossi, 1st MotoGP: : ‘We’ve got a good setting for the race and I’m very satisfied with the pole position. I’ve been riding very fast in this morning’s session and I was sure to be able to improve in the afternoon, but there was a lot of wind during the timed session and it’s been impossible to make better. I can see that the bike has made a great progression in its evolution since we tested it here in November and now I’m really looking forward to the race tomorrow ‘.Tohru Ukawa, 6th MotoGP: ‘I’m not very satisfied with the result, but neither deceived and a sixth place isn’t that bad at all. We’ve been working hard to find a good tyre and suspension combination and I’m confident for tomorrow’s race, although it will be a very hard one. The times are quite even and I obviously want to be back on the podium. I’m sure that the bike will work really well during the race ‘.Fonsi Nieto, 2nd 250: ‘It’s been a nice practice and with an interesting fight. I’ve been the fastest a couple of times but finally I missed the pole and finished second. We’ve been riding at the limit and I’m sure that I can be in the front, obviously without making any mistake like the one I did in South Africa. Now I can only think about tomorrow’s race. I will give it all to get my first victory and such a beautiful place like this.’Toni Elías 10th 250 : ‘I’m not very happy. I would like to be a bit more in the front and close to the faster times, but this is my third race and things are getting complicated when it’s about finding the right setting for the bike. But even if it’s hard to do, I have to be patient and hope that my choice for tomorrow’s race is the right one, especially with regard to the tyres. The start will be decisive to be among the leading group ‘.Daniel Pedrosa 8th 125: ‘This afternoon’s session has been very complicated. The bike had suspension problems and therefore the tyres wore out in a very unusual way. I’ve found traffic in all my attempts to improve my time and when I finally found free space the tyres were worn out. Besides, due to this morning’s crash, my right hand was hurting quite a lot and breaking was especially annoying. But anyway, we’re optimistic for the race ‘.Joan Olivé 12th 125: ‘Despite the engine problems I had, I’m quite happy with the result of the practice sessions. I lost almost half of the session trying to solve those problems and could only make three good laps. If I’ve been able to ride under such conditions at 1.50, i.e. more than one second faster than yesterday, I’m sure that I’ll be able to improve it tomorrow and to be among the leading group ‘.
