Spain GP. Race Drivers´s comments

Nieto: ‘This is the happiest day of my life’.
Repsol driver´s comments about Spain GP resultsValentino Rossi, 1st MotoGP: ‘I make the perfect start and get to the first corner in the lead. Then i get hit from behind a lap later. It feels like a car. Roberts made a big mistake. I was very lucky not to crash. Anyway i lost some position. I really then had to restart again. At the beginning the was a little big hard to ride because it was heavy. It was possible to return to the first group and the victory is good for the championship. This is only the third race out of 16. The story is long. ¡’.Tohru Ukawa 3rd MotoGP: ‘That was a very hard race. At the beginning the tyre was fine at the end was finished. Very many times i almost crashed and it was difficult keeping concentration. Valentino and Kato they ride very wll and i am happy to make the podium’Fonsi Nieto, 1st 250: ‘This is the happiest day of my life; I even cried when I crossed the finish line. It’s been a tough race and when I saw Rolfo pushing hard in the front I wasn’t sure if I would be able to catch him. At the end of the race I knew I didn’t want to have just any place of the podium and I pushed hard for victory. Once I made it, I got a bit nervous and made some mistakes, but I finally got the victory I was longing so much for. I want to dedicate this race to Criville because he deserves it; and I thank him because he has set an example for me.’Toni Elías 10th 250 : ‘It’s been a very tough race. I didn’t make a good start and during the first few laps I didn’t feel comfortable on the bike. Bit by bit I managed to improve the pace and made up four positions. I’ve been able to get into the points and the most positive result of this race is that I’m gaining confidence in the bike.’Daniel Pedrosa 4th 125: ‘I am very satisfied with the result, considering the many difficulties of the weekend. I made a good start, but soon I realised that my suspension problems were still there, so I decided to stay cool, because the bike was moving around constantly. In the middle of the race, I dropped back a little from the leading group, and I gave it my best to try to catch them. But to do so I had to brake very late, and both the front tyre and my painful hand were not really up to it, so I decided not to take any more risks.’Joan Olivé 9th 125: ‘Ninth was not what I had expected after making such a good start and getting up to fourth. From the sixth lap, my rear tyre started to wear very fast, and the bike was sliding dangerously. It was a frustrating situation, because I felt I was able to ride much quicker, but the bike was getting crossed up each time I opened the throttle. The good part is that I was able to ride a few laps in 1:49, a lap time I had never achieved before.’
