Tenth World Championship for Toni Bou and Repsol

Toni Bou secured this weekend in France his fifth consecutive Outdoor World Championship. With this Sunday’s victory, the Repsol rider was able to gather enough points to win again the Outdoor Trial World Championship and have ten World Championships in his amazing track record: 5 Indoor and 5 Outdoor.

The European Grand Prix held this weekend allowed Toni Bou to win the Outdoor Trial World Championship for the fifth consecutive time. After winning the Indoor Championship last March, the Repsol rider kept showing his great potential round after round, now in Outdoor. 7 wins and 4 podiums for a total of 11 rounds allowed the multiple champion to keep his dominion over the championship for the fifth consecutive year.

Since Toni Bou arrived to the Repsol Montesa Honda team in 2007, he has not lost any World Champion. In less than five seasons, the ten World Championships and 5 Spanish Championships —4 Indoor and 1 Outdoor— achieved up to this moment consolidate the rider from Piera as the best Trial rider of these times. 24 year-old Toni Bou is writing one of the golden pages of this sport’s history, a feat that only great riders such as Dougie Lampkin or Jordi Tarrés were able to achieve.
