The CEV Repsol lands in Navarra

By 17/09/2013October 14th, 2021No Comments

The National Championship does not slow down and this weekend holds its fifth round with a break of less than fifteen days.

After the race in Albacete last September 8th, the CEV Repsol resumes the action only two weeks later. This time the Navarra circuit will be the setting where the Moto3, Moto2 ‒with a double race‒ and Stock Extreme competitions will take place. After this visit to Navarra, the Championship will have a break and action will not continue until next November for the final two rounds of the year: Valencia, on the 17th and Jerez, on the 24th.

Sunday Races Schedule:
11:00h. Moto2
12:00h. Stock Extreme
13:00h. Moto3
14:00h. Moto2

Moto3
The smallest displacement class has a new overall leader at the Navarra round. The close fight seen in every race of the class is shown in the overall standings, where the top seven riders are separated by only 22 points. Netherland’s Bryan Schouten will arrive to this CEV Repsol round as the new Moto3 leader, only 2 points ahead of the second placed, Marcos Ramírez, and 10 ahead of Jorge Navarro, third. Curiously enough, none of the top three riders has won a race in this season championship up to now.

Moto2
In its visit to the Navarra Circuit, the intermediate category will have two races in the same day. Two chances for the class leader, Román Ramos, to try and increase his 33-point advantage over the second placed, Álex Mariñelarena. Ramos is the only rider in the class that has finished all the races on the podium this year ‒2 wins and 3 second places‒.

Stock Extreme
Xavi Forés, who dominated the two races held two weeks ago in Albacete, arrives in Navarra in a great shape and with an advantage of 24 points in the overall standings. The rider from Valencia controlled the class from the start –with four wins and one second place in the fifth rounds already held– and only Carmelo Morales and Iván Silva might be able to put up a fight in Navarra, as both riders accompanied him on the podium in the last three races.
