Toni Bou goes back to work in Repsol after winning the Indoor Trial World Championship in Majorca

After being proclaimed Indoor Trial World Champion for the fourth year running last Saturday, Toni Bou has returned to work in Repsol this week. On his Montesa Cota 4RT, the rider went to the office like just any other employee of this company.

Riding his bike, Bou went up in the lift to the first floor of the Repsol headquarters, located on Paseo de la Castellana, and went to his workstation without his feet touching the floor. Previously, and just like any other employee of the company, Toni went through security control with his ID card.

After a morning’s hard work, checking his e-mail, making photocopies and attending meetings, Bou took at break at the coffee machine, and all of this without getting off his bike all day.

Finally, the World Champion went down to the central courtyard of Repsol’s headquarters via the emergency stairs, where he received applause and congratulations from all of his colleagues for his recent victory. To thank them for all of their support, Toni Bou gave a demonstration right there, where he overcame obstacles in the shape of giant tins of lubricant. In front of dozens of company employees, Bou showed off the skills that allowed him to win the Indoor Trial World Championship title for the fourth year running on Saturday in Palma de Mallorca.

“I’m extremely happy to be here, in Repsol’s headquarters, with the people who are part of this company and celebrate this fourth indoor world title. The first was very special and the others have been very important. They are all the result of hard work and that means that winning is never routine but the reward for effort; it’s obvious that without hard work you can’t be successful, as all my colleagues here at Repsol well know.”
