Two for Repsol in Jerez by Fonsi Nieto and Valentino Rossi

The Repsol riders have signed a brilliant double at the Jerez circuit thanks to the victories achieved by Fonsi Nieto in 250 and Valentino Rossi in MotoGP.

The races that formed the GP of Spain have been hotly contested in all categories and the results can bring, in addition to the two winners and world leaders. Rossi reaffirms its leadership as Nieto get first place at 250.

Neither, however, have had it easy. Rossi wins in the first turns of the race a touch with Roberts who sent him to eighth. The Italian has responded with great energy and has since recovered to set up the lead, while team-mate Tohru Ukawa struggled until the last lap for a place on the podium that has gotten ahead of Capirossi. Nieto has also come a bit late but has been able to scale up its efforts until six laps to go when he launched an attack to which nothing has been able to do its rivals.

Displacement of 125 in the victory went to the Italian Lucio Cechinello that has been imposed in a thrilling final to compatriot Manuel Poggiali. The test has been disputed but not really Spanish presence on the podium. Dani Pedrosa has suffered suspension problems and accused the fall on Saturday. Unable to mix in the fight for the podium but finished fourth. Joan Olive was ninth.
