Tyres and the rules

One thing is more than clear: Something has to be done so that MotoGP races do not become boring, without any overtaking and knowing who is going to win before the race takes place. What we cannot do is blame Stoner. He is a great rider, with a lot of talent and he has been demonstrating this all season. He just needed to find the right bike and a team that has confidence in him.

We should not forget that he is just 21 and he has not had the luck of somebody adopting him when he was young, advising him what to do and which path to take, like some other riders.

We cannot blame Ducati/Bridgestone either. They have been working together for a long time and they believe in each other. Even when they did not win races Ducati never changed its supplier. They  carried on together working hard. Ducati gave Bridgestone a test team with a  MotoGP bike (no other team has one), and they continued to work hard together, winning a few more races every year until they got to where they are now. They are getting the rewards for all their hard work and this has coincided with the change in displacement and the new tyre rules. The merit of having worked hard and done things well and to have believed in each other.Neither can we blame traction control.

The world evolves every day and bikes do too. Races are the test bench for the bikes that will be seen in the streets in the future. Bikes with traction control will soon be on sale, cars have it, and the ne bikes will be more fun and safer. The suspension, engines, chassis, electronics have all evolved. And all these developments, just as is happening now with traction control, have made bikes safer, more fun and of course easier to ride. But these evolutions are the same for all riders. Or did Valentino not win, when he was a rookie, when it was impossible to dominate the aggressive 500cc machines without traction control?I do not have the solution for making races fun, (the solution is not to take away traction control and make the bikes dangerous and impossible to ride) but those who have to make the decision should do something for the people like you, those who can`t wait for the MotoGP races to come around. What would you do?
