We are still third, but closer to the second

When we arrived at the circuit on Wednesday morning and we saw the large amount of wooden boxes waiting for us we realised that we were in for a long weekend. And what is more two days of testing after the race. All this to try and find a way to fight face to face with Ducati and Bridgestone.

After three weeks of rest it was a bit a too soon to start mixing chassis, swingarms, engines… and to top it all, with tyres and only four training sessions before the race. That is why we took the two days of training to find the right setup for the tyres sent by Michelin.

In the end we occupied third place on the grid, and the sensation of having made a slight improvement compared to the race at Laguna Seca. And, in the race itself, we only got a fourth place, because of the problem that is always dogging us. However, the result was not too bad as we are still third but closer to the second in the general classification.Just after the end of the race we began to prepare the bikes with all the new material for the Monday and Tuesday sessions. We changed the settings on the chassis and engine.

With the best combination we did a long tyre test so as to find the best compounds for the races left this season.Right now the engineers at both Honda and Michelin will be analysiing all the information obtained so that they can develop new components. The objective is to be able to tackle the next GP race, at Misano, with the best possible level. From this blog I would like to ask all of you to send greetings to Cedric Laprael a member of our team who is recovering from a serious accident he got while parachuting.
